Honestly I forgot all about this song but we both put a lot of work into it so you know what… We are sharing it with you. We are exchanging text messages right now and we both agree that we are much better at our respective crafts now but its a piece of our music history. Enjoy.
So Here is another throwback remix from off the HUSH album. Clap song was greatly influenced (read: ripped) off another group from Africa. We heard it and thought the vibe was good and made an almost duplicate of the song. We changed it just enough to make it our own but its pretty close to the guys who originally did it. Anywho, during a phase in 2008 I went through and started remixing a bunch of songs off the HUSH album. This is one of them. It has a bit more of a club feel to it. Anyway, enjoy!

On the album HUSH, which came out early 2007 there was a song Audio Imagery wrote along with two groups – Everything Ends and Phantasm. They both are wonderful bands and a complete pleasure to work with. We worked together to create a song called Throwing Rocks. The original vibe was very rocky and allowed all of the bands involved to explore genres outside of their own. It was a great experience and I can’t wait for something similar to occur. Shout out to Cos, LP and ANTI for their help with the making of this track as well – wouldn’t be the same without their input. Audio Imagery will be releasing the original mix in the next few days but I was looking through our old material and I stumbled upon these remixes that were made with the intension of making a remix album to HUSH. The album never happened but there were a few tracks that were created. This is one of them. Enjoy!

http://www.myspace.com/everythingends

lyrics:
Chorus:
Mirror reflecting my own shadow on the wall
Gain the strength maybe I could break that
Hand in a fist I pull back loose sight and loose track where I stood before
Know that I’m not alone,
With my hands outstretched.
Somebody’s there to give back
Mirror reflecting my own shadow,
Rejecting my own battle,
Fully fledged I fr all out.

Agress:
My train of thought is running on an eight track
Gun in hand who am I supposed to aim at
Mirror says self but where’s the president’s plane at
Oh what the fuck I’m not supposed to say that
got a lot of room where you place the blame at
im in the back row
like a quarterback throw
up into sky I don’t care where they at yo
like its tanks vs rocks
it ain’t gonna stop (uh huh)
im backed into a corner shooting at the cops
I’m running GTA while they nuking up the block (uh huh
Mighta lost the war but my arm ain’t sore
So ima Sling —shot in other words lets rock

Bridge:
I don’t go lookin for trouble
Trouble just finds me
I don’t go asking for problems
Still they define me
I don’t go lookin for trouble
Trouble just finds me
Sling shot / This rock / at what you cant stop or see

I don’t go lookin for trouble
Trouble just finds me
I don’t go asking for problems
Still they define me

Trouble just finds me (ohhh)
Trouble just finds me (ohhh)
throwing rocks in the dark
I just can’t take no (moreeeee)

Probably the earliest-written yet most loved song.

Still gives me chills.

This song was one of the first musical collaborations of Audio Imagery. We really wanted to break the mold of being your regular rap group and try something different. We push our boundaries with instrumentation - using guitar and bass as the cornerstone of the track. This is also a track we used the lovely voice of Crissy, Baby Val and Jillian. Thank you to you lovely ladies - miss working with you. This song brings back so many good memories! Read more →

Probably the earliest-written yet most loved song.

Still gives me chills.

This song was one of the first musical collaborations of Audio Imagery. We really wanted to break the mold of being your regular rap group and try something different. We push our boundaries with instrumentation – using guitar and bass as the cornerstone of the track. This is also a track we used the lovely voice of Crissy, Baby Val and Jillian. Thank you to you lovely ladies – miss working with you. This song brings back so many good memories!

Much props to A.N.T.I for laying down the guitar work and thanks to Cos for another sick verse and his assistance with the production.

This song really is the quintessential Throwback Audio Imagery song. I still agree with every word in this song. I remember recording part of this in my dorm room back in south halls at Penn State. Dang… good times…
Enough reminiscing and just enjoy the music.

Lyrics:

Chorus
Try to tell me what to do
I just want to do my own thang
They want me to live that life
I just want to live my own dreams

Verse 1:
There some days that the sky looks as dark as soot
I peek through the blinds, as my apartment shook
or maybe it was I, i can’t tell the difference
as remnant dreams flash intermittently the harder I look
but i feels ideals of Harvard afoot
The path in the road splits,
so in the middle the harder I book,
I got caught by reason each day grows sharper the hook
Being torn leaves me beatin’ like pearl harbor did look
Dreams fall to formalities, I try to dodge practicalities
But this life eating me, the bites larger they took
I’m sailin’ on a sea where money’s on the left
I’m moving forward, but my dreams in heaven, so Startboard I look
I map out my plans in life like chess moves
but only stress grew
I was told to tackle math so I wrestled
my expected future while all the rest knew
that my soul nestled in a completely different vessel
so this song’s my confessional, and i don’t speak alone
many enroll to learn from teachers on,
a tip other than passion but to each his own,
the way them dream seeds is grown, i beseech the morning
to know what rises with the sun
If not your heart this listen homie, isn’t your position slowly
fallen with your soul so lonely
so when you go look back at your life you realized you only lived a phony

Verse 2:
I wouldn’t mind dog but the world just keeps on pushing
for something more than the stuff that makes us human
time is money and the past has proven
that to be a man up that ladder you must keep on moving
broken hope don’t compare to being rich with a jaded dream
so in a Manhattan minute i formulated a scheme
Live my life to the fullest, I’m painting the scene
They overrated the green, one day you’ll see what I mean
I just want to do my own thang

Bridge:
So many time I loose myself
trying to be what people think i should be
And i don’t ask for nobody else’s help
The only thing I wanna do is be me

Never before released.

This was created during the HUSH album. A great song.

Much props to Madison for the vocals.

Great Imagery in Gress’s verse (look below).

Ride out….

Gress’s Verse:

Newpaper blows past my feet as the train slows down/

sitting on an old bench, in the mist of old scents/

no where to go no ever since i broke down/

would I do it all again if if I know then what I know now/

I dunno but the fact remains that these tracks is stained/

ding of the door whispers my name/

City light stream by, blurred wide/

some how just level the brain cause they is never the same/
